Community Update Vehicle Crime – Bradford West

Over the past week, there have been a number of reported thefts from insecure vehicles and outhouses across the Sandy Lane, Allerton, and Fairweather Green areas. These incidents have understandably caused concern within the local community.

Officers from the Bradford West Neighbourhood Policing Team responded promptly to the reports.

On 23 April 2026, a positive suspect identification was obtained from CCTV footage relating to a theft on Grasleigh Avenue. As a result, two suspects were quickly located and arrested. At the time of their arrest, both were found to be in possession of several stolen items.

While enquiries remain ongoing, the two males are believed to be linked to 40 or more offences across the area. Both currently remain in custody while further investigations are carried out.

Bradford West officers are committed to fully addressing these issues and will continue to carry out both overt and covert patrols in the affected neighbourhoods over the coming weeks.
